Apple Butter

Simple, easy and delicious! Great to share with family and friends to brighten your bagels, breads and desserts!

Cook Time: 8-10 hours

Makes: Approx. 1.75 quarts


6.5 lb. apples

1 tablespoon cinnamon

1 tablespoon vanilla

½ cup sugar

½ cup brown sugar

¼ teaspoon



Peel, core and slice apples into chunks. Put in your slow cooker with sugars, cinnamon, salt, and vanilla. Mix well.

Cook on low for 8-10 hours, stirring occasionally until apples break down and thicken becoming dark brown. When the consistency has become more of puree, use a hand mixer to smooth out any remaining chunks.
