Slow Cooker Yinzer Tacos (Venison)

Everyone loves tacos, so why not take your tacos to the next level and use venison (deer meat) instead! Make taco night the best ever with this recipe! (Your favorite hunter will thank you!)

Ingredients:

1 lb. Venison roast

1 packet Taco Seasoning

1 Tablespoon Olive Oil

1 Tablespoon garlic, chopped

1 jar of chunky salsa

2 tsp ground garlic

2 tsp onion powder

1/4 cup water


1 package of hard or soft taco shells

1/2 head shredded lettuce

3/4 cup shredded cheese

1 medium tomato, chopped

1 red onion, chopped

Guacamole (or plain Avocado)

Sour Cream

Salt

Pepper


Directions:

Thaw venison then place in crockpot with taco seasoning, garlic & onion powder, olive oil and salsa. Dash of salt and pepper.


Cook on high 3-4 hours, until meat is tender and able to shred with a fork. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly; reduce heat to medium-low. Cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour venison into large serving bowl.


Heat taco shells as directed on package. Serve taco shells with venison, lettuce, tomato, onion, guacamole/avocado, sour cream and cheese, or any other toppings you'd like!
